Excellent non lubricated condoms for medical use in urology, incontinence, family planning and STI avoidance
We run a small, private and ultra discreet clinic which works in these fields plus early stage IVF pre-categorisation in the male domain. We have previously utilised the strong American non-lubricated condoms by Trojan and Atlas up until now, for example
for mildly incontinent dementia patients as a stop gap before we have to
catheterise them.
We have problems with delivery from the USA and the cost has been an issue- all of which have led us to try Glyde Silvers.
These condoms are well tolerated by both patients- male, and female in partnership- and staff.
They are scarcely powdered and can be used for some sample taking.
They are robust and do not break.
They are semi-transparent so staff and patients can see outcomes and their texture is smooth and acceptable.
They are virtually odourless which is an important issue with some patients and nurses.
They are practical to apply even when staff are in masks, shields, gowns and gloved up.
For patients who are ultra sensitive or sore we use Instillagel Lido a clear gel, non-staining lidocaine containing lubricant, made in Germany, which we also use to insert catheters to avoid pain for patients.
Only a very little is needed to make application acceptable after a few minutes have elapsed.
Obviously not utilised for sampling since it affects sperm motility.
These condoms are also used for post partum family planning and teaching applications/supplies by our nurses
in assisting patients to avoid STIs which, as any family planning clinician knows, are increasingly rampant in Australia and not always manifesting obviously.
Most notably Chlamydia and HPI as examples.
We have older patients who are sexually very active who, for example, think the chance of catching Syphilis does not apply to them.
The availability of Viagra and other anti ED medications has massively changed sexual behaviour in many retirees.
But we have to deal with the aftermath- privately and discreetly.
These condoms are also tolerated by Vegans and vegetarians of various kinds.
We use a lot in a month so will be reordering again.
Being unlubricated allows patients and nurses to choose their favourite lubricant or, if in oral sex, none at all.
The Glyde non lubricated is a very good, all round condom highly recommended and we find that even latex sensitive patients- some at least- can tolerate a single use if the
polythene type are unavailable.
Thank you for supplying a high quality condom, at a fair price, in a discreet manner without any fuss.

Definitely not lubricated
Good thing we value bought in bulk. Great savings! Having used both, better than the Ansell alternative for our medical practice.
